Language and direction
The interface and the book each have their own language and direction. Mix Arabic and English in one paragraph, and the words stay in order.

Design and typography
Book styles apply to every chapter at once. Decorations follow each script's own tradition.

Colour and tashkil
Colour a word for a vocabulary list, or the vowel marks for a learner. A coloured letter keeps its marks.

Images and picture books

Structure and notes

- A New book gallery: novel, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, short stories and children's picture book, each with templates and a page size
- Writing prompts in empty sections
- Footnotes and endnotes, cross-references, tables that break across pages correctly

See every page before you export, then make the files printers and ebook stores expect.

- Proof with spreads and guides: margins, trim, bleed, safe area, gutter
- Go to page, page thumbnails, book statistics, Review & checks
- Word (DOCX) import with conversion warnings
- Print PDF with printer profiles (KDP and IngramSpark geometry), bleed, colour or black and white
- Reflowable EPUB with accessibility metadata, checked with EPUBCheck (needs Java)
- Editing copies in Word and RTF, with a report of what does not convert
Arabic text in exported PDFs is not reliably searchable or copyable yet.

Your book is a file on your Mac, with recovery built in. Help is in both languages.
