The short description.
Oktob is a Mac app for making books in any language, right to left or left to right. Authors write, design and check every page of their book in one place, then export a PDF and an EPUB. It began as a way to make proper books in Arabic, and it treats Arabic and English, alone or together in one book, as equals. Oktob is made by one person and is in development alpha.
أكتب تطبيق لنظام ماك لصناعة الكتب بأي لغة، من اليمين إلى اليسار أو من اليسار إلى اليمين. يكتب المؤلف كتابه ويصممه ويراجع كل صفحة منه في مكان واحد، ثم يصدّره ملف PDF وكتابًا إلكترونيًا بصيغة EPUB. بدأ وسيلةً لصناعة كتب عربية متقنة، ويعامل العربية والإنجليزية، كلًّا على حدة أو معًا في كتاب واحد، معاملة متساوية. يصنعه شخص واحد، وهو في مرحلة ألفا قيد التطوير.

- Keep the dot above the book and the damma of اُكتب gold. Do not recolour, outline or add shadows.
- Leave clear space equal to the height of the book on every side.
- Write the name as Oktob in Latin text and as اُكتب in Arabic text. Not OKTOB, not Oktob.press.
